About Computer Engineering

Computers are ubiquitous in our lives and so are Computer Engineers. Computer Engineering Department at P.E.S’s Modern College of Engineering started in 1999, with intake capacity of 60 candidates, is committed to nourish its students in to highly skilled and proficient engineers. The department also offers two years master programme in Computer Engineering , to prepare student for research and professional practices.Like under graduate programme ,this master’s programme(started in 2011-2012)is fully government recognized,approved by A.I.C.T.E. and affiliated to University of Pune. The department of Computer Engineering aims to provide students with strong conceptual foundations and also expose them to the forefront of development in the field of computing.

The department has fully equipped Laboratories supervised by experienced ,qualified and with industrial Experienced teachers,with the latest configuration machines and student to terminal ratio 1:1.All the departments are connected through Fiber Optic Network for sharing Information Gateway with security solutions like ‘Firewall’.

To builtup individual initiative,creativity,talent,leadership and the capability to adopt new technologies, the students and staff members are encouraged to attend short term courses to keep in pace with the industry standards. Also to ensure effective teaching methodologies, the staff members attend various workshops of High Impact Teaching Skills. The department has been very successful in keeping abreast with new and emerging technologies which has been made available to students through interaction and tie up with various industries.

Several of the graduates who have passed out of this department are occupying responsible positions in various industries like Microsoft, Google, Infosys, Nokia, Persistent, Tech Mahindra, Aftek, Tavisca, Accenture, Congnizant, Syntel, HSBC, Cybage, BMC, etc.
