“ASPIRE -2020 A NATIONAL LEVEL PROJECT COMPETITION"
Day & Date : 20 June 2020 to 22 June 2020 & Saturday
Objective :To provide an opportunity to bring together students and present their ideas, results and development activities in the fields of computer and IT.

Outcome : Participants got awareness about fast growing technologies and practical usages.
Summary : CSI Student Chapter of Modern College of Engineering Pune-05, has organized a National level project competition ASPIRE 2020 for all UG students. Students got open platform to present their projects and presentation skills. They got guidelines and assessment of projects by industry personnel. 48 projects groups from different universities & colleges participated in ASPIRE.

The mentioned school has not computer lab. We carried our laptops so that students from school could learn properly and got hands on session.

Summary : Department of Information technology has organized a session on “Fourth Generation Industry Evolution” to provide guidelines on Project Based Seminar. Guest speaker Mr. Akshit Verma started session and briefed about Fourth Generation Industry Evolution. Then he explained about Artificial Intelligence and Its importance in coming years also he discussed various projects ideas related with AI. After that he conducted one activity with students where he asked students to form a group of 3-4 students, identify any problem, propose the idea to solve the problem and what do you need to learn to know how to solve such a problem. Our second Guest speaker Mr. Priyansh Lall explained students about various domains for project implementation. He guided students how to select project topic also he discussed various resources that can be used during project implementation. At the end, both the speakers interacted personally with each group to listen their project ideas and to answer their questions.

“Teacher’s Day Celebration”

Outcome : The occasion was celebrated to remember Teachers and applaud their contribution towards student and society. Students understood efforts and contribution of teachers.
Summary : An event was arranged for the Celebration of Teacher’s Day in IT department by the ITSA team. Students decorated the seminar hall with balloons, ribbons. The event commenced by Prof.C.A.Ghuge Sir seeking the blessings of Goddess Sarasvati by lighting the lamp. A speech was delivered by ITSA President Snehal Jagtap to welcome the staff members. All the teachers were felicitated by students. Few students expressed their thoughts about teachers. Students performed special cultural programs like dances and skits for their teachers to make them happy and feel special in every way possible. After that, Fun activities were arranged which were appreciated by the teachers. Refreshments were served. All the teachers were then presented with Coffee Mug as a token of appreciation from the students. At the end of function a speech was given to thank teachers for their contribution towards students and society. Teachers' Day is important for the students as it gives them a chance to understand the efforts put in by their teachers to ensure that they get proper education. Similarly, teachers also look forward to Teachers’ Day celebration as their efforts get recognized and honored by students
"Collage Making Competition cum Exhibition (Theme: Save Earth: Save Life)"

Summary : The Department of Information Technology from Modern College of Engineering Pune, has organized Collage Making competition cum Exhibition for inter department students with “Save Earth: Save Life” theme under PixInsight club on 25th of July 2019 at IT Seminar Hall.

Honorable judge Prof. Dr. Pawan A. Chandak sir and respected HOD Prof. Mrs. S.D.Deshpande madam inaugurated the competition cum exhibition of collages. Many students from IT department and other departments have made the Collage and showcase their views, thoughts about the given theme “Save Earth: Save Life”. One could see and feel the enthusiasm that the students had in their presentation. This activity was organized to explore and encourage creativity and thought process in students, to create awareness and offer them a platform to showcase their hidden skills. Students came up with amazing ideas. Their efforts and initiative was appreciated by one and all.

Summary : Day 1: A Spark to Tech-Aarmbh Tech-Aarambh 2k19 started with Inaugural function by Dr.Nagesh Rajopadhye, Associate Director,Accenture. He addressed students about recent trends in industry and project management. In 2nd session students experienced Hands-on session on IOT by Prof.Mr.Mandar Kulkarni and Prof.Mr.Digvijay Patil.

Day 2: A Foundation to placement started with session on Time Management by Mrs.Kanchan Dixit where students learnt various tips and tricks for time management. Later in Communication skill by ms.Shweta Premchandani students were addressed for do’s and don’ts in communications. Session 3 was conducted by internal faculty Mrs.Suhasini Bhat for practicing GD.

Day 3: A Gateway for Abroad Opportunities started with session on psychology of programming by Mr.Tushar Kute followed by session on “Industry expectations from students” by Alumini of department Sai Kale. In afternoon session students faced a programming test prepared by Mrs. Sampada Kulkarni, Ms. Supriya Jagtap. Last session of the day was about Career and Job opportunities in JAPAN where Mr.Kfor getting admissions in WASEDA University, Tokiyo and benefits of it for getting job aboard.omori Shinichiro and Mr.Ulhas Acharya addressed students about how to prepare themselves

Day 4: Joy of Learning A joyful learning started with lesson “Unleash the Unstoppable” by Mr.Nadeem Kazi, a Corporate trainer. Students felt motivated by his words. Later Mr.Ashok Pattaar helped students on Mind Mapping tricks to make learning easy and enjoyable. In afternoon session Mrs.Sahisani Bhat and Ms.Poonam rakibe conducted various team building games for students which helped them to create a bond between pears.

Day 5: A day with Nature In morning session Mr.Santosh Iralapalle talked about benefits of “Natural Farming” and opportunities for engineers in this field. Later in the day we moved to Bavdhan Hill for tree plantation activity with UFLC team members. Students enjoyed a lot and decided to take care of the plants further in future too.

Summary : Faculty development program on cyber security is jointly organised by department of information technology of PES Modern college of engineering and Shivaji University Kolhapur in association with MHRD. Ethical hacking expert- Mr Sahil Gaikwad has expressed theory and hands on of cyber security and ethical hacking. He has delivered session on introduction of Cyber Security, basic networking, basic GNU, Introduction of Kali Linux, Introduction of Ethical hacking, information gathering and scanning. Mr. Ashok Patar has trained to all participants in understanding consequences of password reuse, safe usage of cloud services, recovering data and implementing security to windows operating system, understanding importance of backup/restore, implementing security on wifi network and importance of encrypted communications while using internet. Mrs. Pradnya Pophalikar has given an excellent coverage to web apps basics, finding loopholes in web based services, understanding browser security and smart phone security
“5th International Yoga Day Celebration "

Objective : To make students understand the importance of yoga for a healthy life

Outcome : Students understood an importance of Yoga. It is useful for lifelong learning.
Summary : Department of Information technology has organized a 5th International Yoga Day. It was arranged for all students and all faculties in order to know the importance of yoga in day to day life. The guest speaker Ms.Rajshree Karande has done her certification from Yoga Vidya Dham Gurukul, Nashik. She has 3 years of experience of conducting yoga classes. Ms. Janhavi Kulkarni is Yoga teacher. Both of them shared their knowledge about different forms of “Yogasana” with their respective advantages. They also demonstrated “Suryanamaskar” and different forms of yogasane. Students enjoyed session by doing surynamsakar and yogasane. They also suggested practicing yoga daily for at least 30 minutes give us lot of benefits. The session ended by the vote of thanks given by Mrs.Swapna Bhavsar.

Outcome : Students learned basic concepts of Routing and switching.
Summary : Guest Lecture on Routing and switching was started at 9-00 am in classroom 324 for TEIT students on date 24/02/18. Our Guest Mr Tushar Rane, Asso. Professor, PICT, Pune, was felicitated and the session was started. Mr. Tushar Rane mainly focused on the assignment of IOT which is newly added into SL-IV (TEIT [2015]) syllabus and explained it briefly.Contents beyond the syllabus like redistribution between routing protocols like OSPF and EIGRP as well as VLSM also elaborated and explained the basic concepts of routing and switching.
At the end of session, he guided the students how to perform SL-IV lab Assignments and motivated to do career in networking. He informed about the different networking global certifications which are required to get placed into industry.
Session was terminated by giving vote of thanks.

The guest speaker Mr. Nadeem Kazi demonstrated various activities for team building and gave opportunity to breakthrough their biggest fear by doing different task like glass walk. He organized different games for encouraging students.Student inspired from all these things and got key to being happy and positive.

Sir has explained live case studies very well and it is really good.
Overall experience was good and students are very enthusiastically participated in this seminar through questions and answering session.
“Orientation Program for SE, TE and BE students”

Summary : The Orientation started with the overview of syllabus by Prof. Mrs. Sarita. D. Deshpande madam, Head of Department(IT). Madam explained various types of activities conducted in department to improve the skills of students in different fields. Prof. Mr. Chandrasekhar. A. Ghuge sir explored more on different clubs and objectives of each club. Sir also elaborated more on curricular and co-curricular programs available to students to explore their talents. Deshpande madam delivered a talk on project completion and tips to prepare for interviews. The last part was related to question and answer where all the queries of the students were solved. Summary Report : The guest lecture started with the introduction and welcome of the guest, soon followed by the knowledge sharing. He has divided the sessions into 3 parts. First part covered the introduction and basics of the topic. Second part was related with all the things that students were interested to know that is useful to them i.e about various methodologies that industries follows, various project management tools that is being used and much more. The main focus was to make students visualize the usage of theoretical study in a practical manner in industry. The last part was related to question and answer where all the queries related to students were solved. Overall the session was very helpful and knowledge providing for students.
Engineers Day Celebration

Outcome : The occasion was celebrated to make students aware of developments in the industry to help them better shape their future.
Summary Report : A guest lecture was organised to mark the occasion of Engineer’s Day in the IT department by the ITSA team. The guest of honour for the event was Mr. Vivek M. Hirpathak Sir. The event commenced with the Saraswati Vandana. The Chief Guest was felicitated by a bouquet, presented by HOD Ma’am. A speech was delivered by President, Priyanka Kasture to introduce the guest to the staff members and students who were present.
Following the introduction, Mr. Vivek Hirpathak started his session on Career Guidance with a PPT as his aide. The session covered points regarding scope of pursuing higher studies for students after completion of their BE in India as well as abroad. He gave the audience insights about the upcoming fields in the IT and Computer Science sectors and employability. Sir also threw light on the challenges faced by software engineers and how the infrastructure is changing in today’s world. Sir’s experience in the field helped the students understand their future prospects better and motivated them to build a better career for themselves.

Summary Report : An event was arranged for the Celebration ofTeacher's Day in IT department by the ITSA team. The event commenced with Honourable HOD Ma’am and Prof. Mr. Ghuge Sirseeking the blessings of Goddess Saraswatiby lighting the lamp. A speech was delivered by President SanaPabanito welcome the staff members and HOD Ma’am. The Honourable HOD Ma’am then expressed her thoughts about Teacher’s Day which also included a poem written by her.
A Static Dance was performed by Niharika Gurjar(Treasurer),GauriShelar andShravaniVaze(Members) of the ITSA team. After that, Non-Technical activities were hostedin which all staff members participated. Fun activities were arranged which were appreciated by the teachers.Refreshments were served, following which Prof. Mr. AjeetPathak concluded the event by giving a vote of thanks. He thanked all the staff members and HOD ma’am for giving their valuable time and appreciated the efforts of ITSA team for arranging the event. All the teachers were then presented with HandmadeBookmarks as a token of appreciation from the students. The Bookmarks had been crafted by the Decoration team. Utkarsh Sharma(Vice President) recited a poem, specially written for the teachers, to add to the occasion, following which the event came to an end.

IT A students. The guest lecturer, Mr. Yogesh Ranga holds a Master of Business Administration (Marketing) from Edith Cowan University, Perth, Australia. However he has a long experience of 8 years in Sales and Marketing.
In the lecture, Mr. Yogesh Ranga explained the education in different countries. He enlightened the students by explaining them for the preparation of GRE, ILTES exams and how to apply for different universities.

Summary : The training week was scheduled for Technical and Soft skill development of students. SE internal staff members conducted the sessions for students. Training on C++ was conducted by Prof. Rajashree Sadafule and Prof. Deepak Tamhane. Softs kill training was conducted by Barclays trainers.
Topics covered under C training are : Basics of C, Pointers in C, File handling in C Topics covered under C++ training are : Basics of C++, Advanced concepts of C++. Topics covered under Soft Skill training are : Communiacation Skills, Interview Skills, Business Etiquettes etc.
At the end training, test was conducted. From test, top 5 students from both shifts was promoted for second round. Second round was about interview on C and C++ concepts. Interview was conducted by, Hon. HOD (IT Dept) and Prof. V. S. Kamble. From ten interviewer, final two toppers were selected as winner.

Summary : On 1st April 2017, a workshop on Mini Project of SLVI: using Hadoop, Machine learning algorithm and NO SQL Database for the students of Final Year (Shift A and Shift B). Our Alumni Mr. KunalChitale was the guest speaker for this workshop. He was introduced by Mrs. SwapnaBhavsar, in the beginning of the session. Mr. KunalChitale is 2016 passed out student. Mr. KunalChitale has been placed through the college as a Software Engineer in Bitwise software company. The workshop was commenced at precisely 9:30 am and went on till 4:00 pm.
Mr. KunalChitale showed how to implement mini project of SL VI using hadoop, naïve baysed algorithm and Hive NOSQL database.
A very positive feedback was received from the students who were attending. It was indeed an immensely informative experience. The students and the speakers enjoyed a very interactive session, discussing ideas and concepts. Later, speakers was kind enough to entertain the doubts and questions of the studentsstudents.

Total 5 (3 ranks and 2 consolidation) prizes and medals were given to the groups. All remaining groups got participation certificates as encouragement.

Seamedu is a full-fledged media school based in Pune, founded in 2008 to produce world-class talent in Media & Entertainment (M & E). When we reach to company company co-ordinator Ms. Juhi given introduction about company and how visit is going on. After that students visits the various section of company like gaming section, visual effects section, photography section, visual studio section. Overall visit experience was good. Around 30 students were presents for this visit.

Teacher's Day Celebration [Extra Curricular Event]

Objectives : To understand the need of certain skills in the IT sector
Outcomes : Faculties were actively participate in this event.
Summary :

The program was arranged for the staff and HOD of IT department. Before the program started, every staff member was welcomed and requested to take a piece of paper out of a bowl which will determine which team they are in. The teams consisted of 5 members and each team was presented by a letter from the word "TEACH". After that, a speech was given to welcome the staff members and HOD followed bythe mentioning of all the efforts they take to help every student in their educational lives. A few words were also spoken about Dr. Radhakrishnan and his contribution to this country. Two students then performed a dance one after another on Bollywood songs. Finally, everyone was told that they are going to play a few games. Everyone laughed a lot and had a really good time. At last, the staff members and HOD were thanked for their valuable time and provided with some snacks while they happily talked with each other.

  • The meeting was organised under guidance of honourable head of the department Prof.S.D.Deshpande. Welcome address and introductory speech was presented by Prof. Sampada Kulakarni, coordinator of Parent Teacher Meet, she explained how PTM can offer the best possible learning environment for the students.
  • Prof.S.D.Deshpande briefed about on vision and mission of the Modern College of Engineering as well Department of Information technology as well as importance of the factors that can affect learning, such as students' behavioural and social development. Other topics might include standardized test results, education plans, peer relationships, classroom behaviour, motivation and work habits, as well as students' strengths and challenges. Separate sessions were conducted and hosted in different laboratories by G.F.M.'s of the respective classes and students and their parents attended the same.

Summary Report : Department of IT organized a seminar on Personality Development by Suhasini Bhat and Asmita Pawar who are faculties of IT Department (Communication and Language Lab.). Session was started with National Anthem. Then speakers started their speech by showing some PPT's. Speakers shared PPT's among students and also motivate students for achieving goal in life. Students were actively participated in session and discuss their queries with speaker. Then speaker answered queries and gave various examples. This session was so much helpful for students concerning personality development. Speakers were also shared their personal experience of interviews with students.
Outcomes :
This session was totally based on personality development and students were able to grasp knowledge of dressing styles.

Summary Report : Department of Information Technology of Modern College of Engineering Pune-05, organized a seminar on Disruptive Technologies for SE students on 19/07/16 in the Seminar Hall of ENTC department. The session was conducted by Mr. Purushottam Darshankarwho is currently the Principal Architect of Innovations in Persistent. A brief introduction of ITSA was given by Prof. Mrs. Chaudhari and the previous secretary of ITSA shared her experience with everyone. The speaker was then facilitated by the HOD and Prof. Mr. Gughe facilitated the HOD followed by the facilitation of all the staff members as well. Also, the 1st and 2nd toppers of FE, SE and TE of both shifts were congratulated and it was officially mentioned that the 1st toppers will get an exemption in exam fees and 2nd toppers will be provided with the following semester's textbooks. After that, the HOD gave a speech and welcomed the speaker. He began the seminar by telling the students about the vertical and horizontal organizational hierarches that exist within the IT Industries and what they expect from a fresher. He also encouraged the students to learn new technologies and absorb information from all sources available, to make them capable and give them an edge above the other competition and to outperform other candidates to secure a job in the Industry.
Outcomes:

SE IT - A Orientation Program 2016- 2017

Objectives : Students will acquire the knowledge of different fields in the IT industry
Summary Report : The orientation program was arranged for the students of SE IT. The program started after the students were welcomed by Prof. Mrs. Chaudhari. She gave a brief introduction of ITSA and its objectives. After that, the HOD introduced the vision & mission of IT Department and student's achievements in different areas like academics, sports, cultural, etc. She also motivated and made the students aware of the different skills that the IT industry will demand from them. Guidelines for interview preparations and industry point of view questions were also mentioned during the program. After that, Prof. Mrs. Sampada Kulkarni introduced the faculty and their respective subjects to the students. She told the students about the subjects they will be studying, importance of the subjects, detailed course structure, distribution of marks for theory and practical exams and policy for term work. She explained the division of their class into different batches and also explained the need of a GFM.

He introduced different career opportunities in civil services. He explained detail syllabus and exam pattern of UPSC/ MPSC exams. He also guided about study material and reference book for exam preparation. Student inspired from his motivational speech and got clear idea about civil services exams, how to prepare while studying.

Then speaker started the talk with basic cloud computing terms. He also gave the knowledge of recent cloud computing trends and technologies used in IT industry with the actual demo on usage of cloud services by creating virtual machine through widely known Amazon service provider. Students are very satisfactory with the talk and talk was very inspirational.

  • To act as a bridge between college and the industries for interaction on new developments in different disciplines of engineering.
Summary Report :
  • Department of Information Technology, PES's Modern College of Engineering, decided to conduct the Alumni Meet, 2016 on 19th of March, Saturday.
  • Personal mails and messages were sent to the Alumni and followed by phone call and messages. To reach maximum number of alumni we also placed the invite on social networking site like Face book and Linkedin. The session commenced at 10.30 am with the registration of the alumni with welcome drink.
  • The meet started with the welcome address of Alumni coordinator, Mrs. S. S. Paul and was followed by round table meeting with Prof. S. D. Deshpande, H.O.D of IT department and other senior staff.
  • The occasion was graced by good numbers of Alumni ranging across various batches from various parts of the country. Alumni from outside India also sent their best wishes for this program.
  • Next was the speech speaking on the occasion, the H.O.D Prof. Mrs. S. D. Deshpande underlined and praised the achievements of Alumni of Information Technology in all walks/spheres of life. She felt that it was matter of great pride for department that its Alumni are holding positions of responsibility in various Organizations, PSUs, Private sector, Academic Institutions. Many of them are successful entrepreneurs providing jobs to others as well. Coordinator, Mrs. S. S. Paul praised their contribution towards the growth of their Alma Mater and emphasized the need for further strengthening the linkage between the Alumni and department and current students.
  • Next few of the alumni shared their views, Mr. Lonkar Rohit Nivrruti (2009-10), Mr. Ajinkya Parekh(2009-10) are very glad to attend the meet and explained the importance of Work and Life for an individual. He said that stress can create imbalance in work life and personal life and one has to take care to balance both. He emphasized the students to know them and also know their strengths and weaknesses. He suggested the following to the students- Time management, self organization, prioritize your responsibilities, erase mistakes, learn to say "No", take relief from work, take up some activity, spend quality time with family and friends and use technology.
  • Then Alumni Ms Ketaki Shikhare(2011-12) told the importance of extracurricular activities and how to balance it with curricular.
  • Many of other Alumni Manali Joshi, Kriti, Avishek Kulkarni are also express their views. They share the real story of industry and encourage the juniors to be entrepreneur.
  • Alumni co-ordinator Mrs. S. S. Paul delivered the Vote of Thanks. This was followed lunch break and students interacted with the alumni.

  • Seminar on "Algorithms used in IT industry" was conducted by I.T Department of PES Modern College of Engineering, Pune on Saturday, 30th of January 2016. The seminar was conducted for the students of T.E from both 1st and 2nd shift. The guest lecturer was Mr. Suhas Pachore. He holds a B.E degree in Mechanical Engineering. However he has a long experience of 15 years in software development and banking software product engineering. He has been managing projects in the areas of product integrations and mobile banking product. Felicitation of Guest is done by Prof. Ajeet Pathak.
  • In the lecture, Mr. Suhas Pachore explained the trends of Software developments from early years to recent trends. He also explained the real life application of Algorithms in the current software development industry. All the faculty members and students from I.T. Department participated in cleaning of department. The initiative was taken up under the guidance of our H.O.D. Mrs. S. D. Deshpande madam. To signify the SWACCHTA ABHIYAAN, all the Staff Members (Teaching and Non Teaching) along with the students of respective four years of I.T. Engineering joined this Noble Abhiyan. Zeal, dedication and enthusiasm towards cleanliness were found at the peak. All the students had put their best efforts to make the campus areas surrounding and nearby the department as well as the class rooms, laboratories & passages of the department Free from the Plastics.

"GENDER SENSITIZATION SESSION"

Objectives : To encourage students to work in common environment.
Summary Report :Under Information Technology Student Association (ITSA) activities the department organized a Gender Sensitization Session with all the students. The session with HOD madam speech on GENDER SENSITIZATION. In this she guided the students that Gender sensitization refers to the modification of behavior by raising awareness of gender equality concerns. Gender sensitization theories claim that modification of the behavior of teachers and parents towards children can have causal effect on gender equality. This session was interactive. Through this session students are encouraged to work in common environment like various ITSA activities, projects, cultural, sports etc. Also girls are motivated for self protection.

Summary Report :Total 23 project groups have participated in WEB-MASTER 2015. A Given Layout design by students during 11:00 To 2:00 PM. Competition was open for all the students. All Layouts were examined by judge Mr. Rahul Gujar as a Sr. Program Manager at TCL Pvt. Ltd. From 2:00 To 3:00 PM. Prize distribution Ceremony was held at I.T. Seminar hall on 3:30 PM. Prizes was distributed for first three winners. After that Ingratiation of APP CLUB was done by our guest Mr. Rahul Gujar.

In the subject students have to study deferent modeling diagrams using UML2.0. Department on dates 11th,12th and 14th September 2015 and in Room no.324 (MCA Dept.). InDigitPixel club was form by under ITSA team. In this workshop we were taught to create an idol of Lord Ganesha by Aniket Warade a student of TE IT B. Around 35 faculty members and students combined enrolled for this workshop which continued for 3 successive days.The exhibition was beneficial for all the staff members as well as for all the students those who participated in this workshop.

In the Ganpati Idol making Workshop the students learnt to create an idol of Lord Ganesha from Shadu clay.

For TE students from I.T. Department. On date 20/08/15 in the Seminar all of the MCA Department. The session was conducted by Mr. Amit Borkar who is working in TechMahindra and mentoring the future generation of developers. The session was beneficial for all the students.

  • ITSA Committee Under Department of Information Technology of Modern College of Engineering Pune-05, organized a seminar on "Big Data (Hadoop) and SMAC" coincidentally on the day of GURUPORNIMA. This session was organized for Students of It department of MCOE at Seminar Hall of the MCA department (Room no.325). The session was conducted by Mr. Hemant Jambhale. He is working as a General Manager at Branding, Communication and Digital Marketing at SEED INFOTECH.
  • During the session, speaker covered various topics such as SMAC technology, information about cloud computing, basic information about hadoop, typical questions that may be asked during interviews. This session was beneficial for all the students.

"INTRODUCTION TO CAREER OPPORTUNITIES IN INFORMATION AND CYBER SECURITY" (Technical event)

Objectives : Able to understand the threats of cyber world.
Summary Report : The seminar on Information and Cyber security was held on the 28th of July in the IT Dept seminar hall. Chief guests present at the event were dignitaries of Cyber vault Security Solutions Ltd. Members present at the seminar were the Director, Business Processing Executive and the speaker, who was also their senior IT Security Consultant. Seminar mostly consisted of the basics of Cyber security. Concepts were explained with very practical and relevant examples. Session was quite interactive with lots of questions and answers. In the end, students were given a live demonstration of various security attacks. The tool used by the speaker for demonstration was "prorat". Thus the session was concluded with a small summary of the various topics covered.
Outcomes :
During the session Participants learned: To make student aware from cyber security issues practically.
"ART OF PARENTING" (Extra curricular activity)

Summary Report : Department of Information Technology organized a guest session on "Art of Parenting". This session was organized by Mrs. Sampada A. Kulkarni for staff members at Seminar Hall of the IT department on date 25th July 2015. The session was conducted by Mr. Ramanada Das who is a Corporate Trainer for this topic. He used to take trainings of Parents and teachers for the same. During session speaker showed various activities on how to handle the children and students too. The session was advantageous for all the staff members to become a good parent as well as a good teacher.

After attending guest session the staff members were aware with the techniques handle the children as well as students.

Students of MCOE at Seminar Hall of the IT department (Room no.419). The session was conducted by Mr. Ajay Potnis .He is working as consultant engineer at EMC2.
  • During session speaker covered various concepts such as file I/O, socket programming, data striping fault tolerance, encryption/decryption, and compression/decompression. This session was beneficial for all the students.

"IMPORTANCE OF UML IN SDLC AND CONVERSION OF UML TO CODING" (Technical activity)

Objectives :
  • Based on user requirements, create a requirement model using UML class notations and use-cases.
  • Create an OO design of a system from the requirements model in terms of a high level design description, and low-level models of structural organization and dynamic behavior using relevant UML diagrams

Summary Report : This workshop was arranged for final year students. Contents were based on SMD subject and SL-IV lab of revised (2012) BE syllabus. In the subject students have to study deferent modeling diagrams using UML2.0. In the workshop speaker has covered importance of UML in software development life cycle and also why understanding modeling is mandatory in software development. The speaker has also covered the - how to convert the UML diagram in Java code in eclipse. Employee management system case study is used to cover all the topics throughout the session. During the session speaker was giving the hints about expectations of industry from fresher students. Guidelines for interview preparations and industry point view questions on same topic were discussed during the session. Around 90 students attend the seminar.

Summary Report : Department of Information Technology of Modern College of Engineering Pune-05, organized a seminar on YOGA session: Mind Relaxing for today's Life on behalf of International Yoga Day for all students from I.T. Department on date 22/06/15 in the Seminar Hall of the IT department. The session was conducted by Mrs. Meera Chaudhari who is the Yoga instructor in various I.T. Sector. During session speaker advocating Yogic lifestyle intervention for the prevention and management of stress induced and other psychosomatic disorders. I.T. Department staff members & around 90 students attended the session & they all have good effect in their regular routine. The relaxation exercises student learn in yoga can help blood circulation, especially in hands and feet. Student experience increased energy levels. The session was beneficial for all the students & staff members.
