Prerana Club Introduction

Guest lecture on ‘Bodh Shiv Charitracha”

Objective:

The purpose of the guest lecture was to teach ethics and management skills of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj that is required for the students in their Social life.

Outcome:

Students learned different ethics management skills from the life of shivaji maharaj which was related to the students for managing their work and studies by doing it smartly and also got the brief history of maharaj from the guest lecturer.

Summary report:
  • The program started with lamp lightning by the guest and other staff member on this occasion.
  • Prof. Ramnani Sir felicated the guest with a bouquet, then student from the second year Master. Manish Ghatpande recited the poem named ‘Jaanta Raja’. After this Prof. Kaustubh kapadani sir gave the summary of the lecture and introduced the guest.
  • After this Mohan sir started with his lecture. He gave the outline of his lecture by giving five points that he was going to share from the life of shivaji maharaj. Following were the points:
    1. Planning
    2. Organization
    3. Unity
    4. Torch bearers
    5. Control
  • Sir started the lecture with full of energy and spoke about different qualities of shivaji maharaj such as loving, caring, giving, humble, obedient, courageous, brave, intelligence, etc
Swacchata Pledge

Objective:

The 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' is a massive mass movement that seeks to create a Clean India. Cleanliness was very close to Mahatma Gandhi's heart. A clean India is the best tribute we can pay to Bapu when we celebrate his 150th birth anniversary in 2019. Mahatma Gandhi devoted his life so that India attains 'Swarajya'. Now the time has come to devote ourselves towards 'Swachchhata' (cleanliness) of our motherland.

Outcome:

Mahatma Gandhi dreamt of an India which was not only free but also clean and developed. Mahatma Gandhi secured freedom for Mother India. Now it is our duty to serve Mother India by keeping the country neat and clean.Students will be able to committed towards cleanliness and devote time for this. They will initiate the quest for cleanliness with themself, family, locality, village and work place. They will be the ambassadors for propagating the message of Swachh Bharat Mission in villages and towns.

Summary report:

A Swacchata Pledge was taken by all the students and staff members on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The program was organized to inculcate the citizenship and responsibility of keeping the surroundings clean.

The program was organized to show and give respect to all the sanitation workers who are pillars of clean surroundings. A Swacchata quiz was conducted for all the students on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.

Objective:

To get inspiration from the great work done by Rajmata Jijau for “Swarajya”.

Outcome:

The willful resistance against mughals especially by Vidyavati, Haramani devi, Rani Laxmibai and Jijabai were the founding stones for the Indian women who then got inspired and nurtured Nationalism in their children for the sustenance of Nation and our culture.

Summary report:
  • Jijabai was born on 12 January 1598 and a daughter of Lakhoji Jadhav in present-day Buldhana district of Maharashtra State. she was wed at an early age to Shahaji Bhosale, a nobleman and military commander under the Adil Shahi sultans of Bijapur in present-day Karnataka. Jijabai was a very pious and intelligent person with great vision for independent Hindu kingdom.
  • Rajmata Jijau, a source of inspiration to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, were paid rich tributes on their birth anniversaries today by students of Mechanical Engineering.

To get inspiration from the great work done by “Savitribai Phule Jayanti” in the field of women education.

Outcome:

It helps to Empowerment of Women and guides Enrolment of more number of women students in the Department so that a very safe, secure and friendly atmosphere prevails on the campus for women. 

Summary report:

Savitribai Phule is one of the most admired Indian women. She is remembered as India’s first woman teacher, social worker and poet. Savitribai was born on January 3, 1831 in Naigaon, Maharashtra. Today marks her 186th birth year.
Savitribai Phule brought the dawn of women’s education in India. She worked for the rights of women and introduced education opportunities for girls during the British India Age. Her poems raised voice against discrimination and emphasized the importance of education. She was also actively involved in protests against Sati, untouchability, child marriage and other social practices that violated human rights.
Students celebrate Savitribai Phule’s birth anniversary as a Women Empowerment Day and organizes the discussion on Women’s issues, Women Rights and Women Empowerment. Women Development Cell has been set up to look into matter related to women grievances and development.

  • Swami Vivekanad is being youth inspirational personality; from this program we try to motivate young students with Vivekanand’s thoughts. The program is inaugurated by our HOD Prof. S. Y. Bhosale, and program is coordinated by Prof. K. R. Kapdani
  • Honorable Guest Mr. Shirishji Patwardhan had given a valuable speech on the thoughts of Swami Vivekanand. In his speech he delivers some thoughts such as “Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life - think of it, dream of it, and live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.”

  • Born on May 28, 1883 in Nashik in Maharashtra, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, later known as Swatantraveer Savarkar, was a revolutionary and Hindu nationalist who was imprisoned by the British in the Cellular Jail in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. . Savarkar can be rightly described as epitome of courage & conviction, given his fearless and determined fight against the British and limit of human endurance for the physical and mental torture that he underwent at Andamans.

February 19 marks the birthday anniversary of a ruler who carved a niche for himself with his Ganimi Kawa tactics, established the Maratha kingdom and fought Mughals. Shivaji was born in 1627 AD at Shivneri fort in Pune and was named after Goddess Shivai.
Blessed with leadership skills and a born warrior, Shivaji can also be called the proponent of saffron rule. Shivaji was the very embodiment of a born ruler of men as typified in our great Epics. He was the type of the real son of India representing the true consciousness of the nation. It was he who showed what the future of India is going to be sooner or later, a group of independent units under one umbrella as it were, under one supreme imperial suzerainty.”

  • Students were feeling enthusiastic after program and it will beneficial to achieve their academic goals.
  • They have taken inspiration from Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to enhance moral values.Students get motivated by speaker rheotic speech and willing to become a good speaker like him.
Summary report:

A Program was organized for all students of Mechanical Engineering to get inspire by Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj with his character, his engineering skills in fort constructions, his management skills in ruling government.

Today “Shivaji” is the symbol of excellence and seminar objective was to inspire them to be a “Shivaji“of his field of working.
The program was very much motivational and seminar hall was full of students. It is no doubt that the topic will enhance student’s enthusiasm to achieve their academic goals.

Prerana Club Introduction

Lack of motivation and enthusiasm in college student is directly related to poor performance and low graduation rates. This club is to inspire our students to learn and achieve more than their curriculum to enhance their character. Today’s youth are the most empowered generation ever, having control over the choices they make as young consumers, how they spend their time, and how much effort to put into college – we need to give them a forum to express themselves and make their thoughts on current affairs and learning known.

Aims:

The Prerna Club aims at providing ethics and value education that sensitizes students towards social issues and encourages them to contribute for society

Objectives

  • Prerna club objective is to inspire to create positive change, gain real-world insight into leadership, and are challenged to lead in a way that brings out the best in others.
  • To educate the student and community on local, national and global social issues and matters of concern.
  • To initiate and encourage society friendly policies and practices.
  • To, when possible, form connections and work with individuals and groups outside of the college.
  • To promote appreciation of the social resources through talks, exhibitions and outdoor activities.

Outcomes

  • Students have gained knowledge about their roots and cultural treasury.
  • Actions have taken to improve the local environment.
  • Students have worked to solve many local problems such as sanitation, IT awareness.
  • Members aware and educate residents about the social issues.

Membership

Everyone is welcome to attend meetings of the Prerna Club and to take part in its various activities, and membership is open to all students, staff of the college and residents also.


The initial membership list should have each academic year shall consist of the members of the club elected the previous year and all those who indicate, their desire to be members of the club.


Active members are those members who have attended 50% of the club events during the year. An event shall constitute a meeting, activity, outing, or actively working to plan and/or execute a major activity. The event incharge shall record attendance at each event on the back of used.
