The F.Y. B.Tech. program at PES Modern College of Engineering provides a comprehensive academic foundation for aspiring engineers. It includes essential courses in basic sciences such as Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, along with foundational courses in major engineering disciplines. In alignment with the NEP framework, the curriculum also integrates courses like the Indian Knowledge System, professional communication skills, and various co-curricular activities that enhance students' abilities. The Engineering Science Department, serving as the cornerstone of this program, is dedicated to nurturing critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and interdisciplinary knowledge, equipping students for advanced studies and professional careers in diverse engineering fields.
Before the commencement of academics, newly admitted B.Tech. students undergo a Student Induction Programme. This program introduces them to the institutional policies, processes, practices, culture, and values while forming mentor groups. Students are also introduced to a variety of college activities, including NSS, student chapters, professional bodies, student clubs, and athletics. Throughout the academic year, faculty members provide mentorship, counseling, and academic guidance. Students' progress is meticulously tracked through attendance records and internal assessments, ensuring they are well-prepared for their engineering journey. Additionally, exposure to real-world engineering applications helps foster creative and innovative thinking skills among students.
