About Library
Modern College of Engineering Library was established in 1999 with the inception of the Institution. The total area of the library is 1118 sq. meters consisting of a spacious reading hall, textbook section, reference section, periodical section, book circulation section, and digital library section. The library has a large stock of books (60,000+), journals (90+), and e-resources. The print collection includes textbooks, reference books, periodicals, and their back volumes. In addition to this, books related to general reading, competitive examination preparation, and soft skills are also available. The electronic resources like Elsevier, J-Gate, IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), DELNET, ACM (Association for Computing Machinery), are regularly subscribed. Students and faculty access these resources within the campus as well as remotely. The library has professional memberships of Jayakar Library, Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), Computer Society of India (CSI), E-Shodhsindhu, and National Digital Library of India (NDLI). Under the institutional repository, the institution has a collection of e-content developed by faculty, NPTEL video lecture series, department publications, and last five years’ question papers of affiliating University. The software such as Drillbit and Non-Visual Desktop Access (NVDA) are installed in the library and made available. The institution has also maintained a separate departmental library in each department.
