About PES’s AICTE Idea Lab
As part of its continuous efforts to strengthen experiential learning and innovation-driven education, MCOE has been selected for the prestigious AICTE IDEA Lab initiative in April 2025. This recognition highlights the Institute’s leadership in fostering creativity, research orientation, interdisciplinary learning, and alignment with national priorities such as Atmanirbhar Bharat.
The AICTE IDEA Lab at MCOE serves as a multidisciplinary innovation and prototyping hub that integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). The lab provides students, faculty, and the wider academic community with access to advanced tools, hands-on learning environments, and opportunities to transform ideas into functional prototypes and scalable solutions. As a regional resource center, the IDEA Lab extends its facilities to neighboring institutions, schools, and communities, promoting inclusive and equitable access to innovation.
Supported by a robust research and innovation ecosystem, MCOE actively encourages participation in national-level competitions, industry-mentored projects, startups, and intellectual property creation. Through structured mentoring, capacity-building programs, and strong industry partnerships, the IDEA Lab nurtures problem solvers, innovators, and entrepreneurs capable of addressing real-world challenges
At MCOE, the AICTE IDEA Lab is not merely a facility—it is a platform for learning by doing, collaboration across disciplines, and building solutions that contribute meaningfully to society, industry, and the nation.
