EFFECTIVE USE OF BODY LANGUAGE

Tuesday, 07th January 2020.

A session on ‘Effective use of Body Language’ was conducted by TESSA members for TE students. This session intended to make the students aware about how their daily gestures reflect their personalities and how it affects the campus interviews. With help of body language one easily identifies anyone’s personality.

Body language is the unspoken element of communication that are used to reveal true feelings and emotions. Our gestures, facial expressions and posture, for instance. When we are able to "read" these signs, we can use it to our advantage. For example, it can help us to understand the complete message of what someone is trying to say to us, and to enhance our awareness of people's reactions to what we say and do.

The orator made students aware about the importance of body language through the analysis of different survey’s conducted outside the world. It showed that, body language contributes 33% in an individual’s impression on others. Adding to it, different ways of effective communication were also made familiar. The session was interactive as she conducted various activities which reflected how one should be able to catch his/her gestures through it. The session was very much useful for students to crack the interviews in campus rounds.
