A session on 'Career Opportunities for Mechanical Engineers in IT Industry' was conducted by Mechanical Engineering Student Association (MESA) through online mode. The guest speaker for the session was Mr. Dattaprasad Gawade (Test Analyst, TSYS Global Payments). Guest explained the pillars of IT industry, namely, Non-IT support, Quality and Assurance, and Development.
He also shared his knowledge about the roles and tracks in the IT industry starting from the entry level jobs right up to CTOs and CEOs. Towards the end, he stated the steps to enter into the software industry and the teams for the same.

Description :
On the occasion of Engineer’s Day, a talk on ‘Future Trends and Challenges in Mechanical Engineering’ was arranged by (MESA) through online mode. The speaker for the talk was Prof. Shyam Ramnani (faculty from department of mechanical engineering, PESMCOE). The session was attended by mechanical engineering students from the second, third and last years and many faculty members. The anchors for the day initially explained the significance of Engineer’s Day which was followed by a video regarding the same. Then they introduced the speaker and handed over to him for his talk. He started off by briefing about the advancements in the field of mechanical engineering throughout the years from 1784 to current date.

This program was conducted by the MESA team.The Guest for the program was Mr.Shirish S. Apte a great career counsellor.
The session started with the introduction of a Guest speaker by a MESA member.
Guest speaker first talked about whom we should consider our peers to.Then he talked about various types of stress that young generation people take.
Guest speaker explained to all participants very simply about how to stop worrying about things that don’t matter to us.
The way in which the guest speaker convinced all participants for not taking peer pressure was absolutely fabulous.

'A project competition “Aspirations 2022”'

The project innovation contest ‘Aspirations 2022’ was arranged on 15th June 2022. Total 10 groups were participated in the competition. The program was started sharp at 10.30am in the room no. 108 of the Mechanical Engineering Department. All the students were very enthusiastic to showcase their idea which they have incorporated in their final year project. All the project was innovative and was appreciated by the expert. In this project competition not only the final year but students from third year and second year mechanical engineering were also participated. After taking review of all the project by visiting to their desk the expert has decided following prizes for the title mentioned as;
Prize 1st : An Experimental investigation on Welding Rods of Different Metals and Varying Diameters

The event was started with the Ganesh Vandana and then followed by the introduction of the event by the Spandan team. After the introduction students' performed singing, dancing, etc and as the last performance SHIV RAJYABHISHEK was performed , everyone got goosebumps at that time.
Then prizes were distributed to the students who had been excellent in their academics or in extracurricular activities during the current academic year; they also shared some of their experiences while speaking to the students.

Savarkar is not merely a revolutionary freedom fighter, but he is truly the supreme organizer topmost leader and a significant source of indomitable inspiration. He stated that "We must never forget how pivotal the status of Savarkar is among the young generation of revolutionaries, spread across Europe and India".
Then he explains Savarkar's freedom struggle and dedication . Then he talked about qualities of Vinayak Savarkar. He shows some images of freedom moment which conducted by v.d. Savarkar etc.

Description :
The guest speaker for the session was Mr. Atul Wadkar (Director, Algorithmic Electronics). The session was attended by second year mechanical engineering students and a faculty member. The guest speaker was initially introduced by the anchor. He started off his talk by briefing about the fundamentals of electronics. He then stressed about the importance of programming and the advantages it has over manual work like speed, accuracy, cost, repeatability, etc. He also illustrated, with the help of flowcharts, the working of various real life systems and went on to explain their integration with Arduino using the concept of Internet of Things (IoT). Towards the end, he demonstrated the operating environment of Arduino IDE by running several programs and simulating them with the help of a simulation software called Proteus Design Suite 8.11

Dr. Hiremath has over 30 years of industry experience in Space, Energy, Transportation and Infrastructure. He is the first Indian and Asian to be elected to become the President of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).

SAE INDIA is a professional body, which is a subset of Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) International and is having its headquarters at Chennai. Its operation is divided in 4 zones with the western office located at ARAI, Pune. The objective of SAE is to bring together institutions, scholars and industries working in automobile field and give them a platform to exchange ideas for overall development of automobile field. About Event
The competition is intended to provide Bachelor / Master / Diploma students with a real-life engineering challenge. Each team is required to conceive, design and develop a prototype of fixed wing UAV meeting the mission requirements. There are two parts to each competition, each with their own series of events. These parts are known as Static and Dynamic Events. The events award the team points towards a grand total. The team with the greatest total wins the competition overall. Some events, such as tech inspection, award no points but are required in order to proceed to other events for safety reasons. . Due to the worldwide pandemic situation the event was held virtual this year.
