Library services and facilities

Reading hall facility: -

Library Reading hall is open from 8.00 am till 8.00 pm.

Book Bank Scheme: -

Central library provide book bank scheme for Engg and MCA students. Students can apply for the scheme by submitting the Book Bank application form which is available on the college website. Under this scheme students can get the set of the reference books for the whole semester. After the semester exam finish they have to return the books to the library. This scheme provide for students at free of cost.

Social Welfare Book Bank Scheme: -

Under this scheme set of text books are made available for SC/ST students. Students can apply for the scheme by submitting the book bank scheme form available on the college website.

Digital Library: -

Central library having separate digital library. Students can access E-resources, E-books & CDs in the digital library.

Extra to books facility on the maximum used of library books:-

To increase the usage of library books central library has started facility of issuing two extra books on the maximum usage. This facility is available for those students whose usage of books is more in the previous semester. With the help of the SLIM software the usage report is generated

Inter-library loan: -

Central library having memberships of Jayakar library, British Library and DELNET. We can borrow / procure books and periodicals which are not available in our library.

Open Access for all students:-

The library has given open access to students and staff. So they can select their books by searching in their related subject. The arrangement of the books is as per the DDC. So it is easy for students to search the books related to their subject. The index is also displayed in each row of shelves to help the students. In the orientation program library has given the training to the first year students about use of the library.


The Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) is made available to the users to identify the status of availability of resources in the library.

Library Orientation Program:-

Library orientation program is organized by the Central Library for first year students at the beginning of the every academic year. In the orientation program library gives the detail information about the collection, services, library rules and other library activities. At the time of the orientation library will arrange the exhibition of the reference books and journals available in the library. Library staff also gives the training of E-resources subscribed by the library.

E-Resources Training Session: -

Central library organized training sessions of e-resources for students and staff in every academic year. The experts from the subscribed E-resources came and gives the training about using the E-Resources, new features added in the package etc.

Institutional Membership:-

College is attached with various associations/institutes through the membership subscriptions. Like, IEEE, ACM, CSI, ASME, ISHRAE, ARAI, DELNET, British Library, Jayakar Library. So students and staff use their collections like books, CDs, E-resources, etc. Through these Memberships College can get funds for the organizing seminars, workshops at the college as well as Students can get concession in the fees for attending or participating in such seminars/workshops organized by the particular institute.

University Question Paper ( Last five years):-

Central library kept the set of question papers from the last 5 years . Students can issue or take a Xerox of these papers from the library.


NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) is a joint initiative of the IITs (Indian Institute of Technology) and IISc (Indian Institute of Science). NPTEL Local Chapter is established in our college from Dec 2015.

Library Incharge Mrs.Pratibha Adkar (MCA Department) is a SPOC (Single Point of Contact) of NPTEL Local Chapter. NPTEL offers online certification courses and these courses delivery through is made available for staff and students. Central library providing audio and video facility to the students to access the lectures of NPTEL and working as a supporter in the local chapter.
