Rotaract Club of MCOE [Computers] Metro

Title: Gajasanskruti 6.0
Day & Date: Saturday, 10/09/2022
Brief Description:
  • Rotaract Club of MidEast has organized “Gajasanskruti 6.0” event.
  • The event was basically a cleanliness drive wherein the aim was to collect tonnes of garbage generated during visarjan of lord Ganesh.
  • Rotaract Club of MCOE (Computers) Metro contributed to the event by cleaning the garbage at Nadi Patra with a total count of 22 members present.

Title: Culture Exchange
Day & Date: Thursday, 11-08-2022.
Brief Description:

Rotaract Club of MCOE (Computers) Metro along with Rotaract Club of Pune Metro has organized an event “Culture Exchange”. The main aim of the event was to celebrate the festival of Raksha Bandhan with the foreign students. To demonstrate the guests with the Indian traditions and cultures. The event headed by following the prestigious ritual of applying tilak on forehead of brother and tying a Rakhi on wrist of brothers. Along with this, a portion of sweet or desert was fed to the brother. During the event importance of festival, Raksha Bandhan was also explained. Rakhi is tied on brother’s wrist to symbolically provide protection to the sister. Around 20 students participated in the event.

Day & Date: Monday and Tuesday, 22/08/2022 and 23/08/2022
Brief Description:

The main objective of this event was to create awareness among students on how they should be a better problem solver, how to be an effective in team building and high impact leadership and what should be your ambition and how to achieve it. During this event, the speakers (Rtn. Vandana Dandekar, Rtr. Parth Jaokar, Rtn. Ujwal Tawade and Rtn. Neena Pangarkar) gave speeches on various topics like how they should be a better problem solver, how to be an effective in team building and high impact leadership and what should be your ambition and how to achieve it. Overall this guest session was very excellent. This Guest Session was very useful and helpful for all listeners to understand the importance of these values in their life.

Title: International Development Youth Exchange (IDYE)
Day & Date: Friday, 02-09-2022
Brief Description:

Rotaract Club of MCOE (Computers) Metro, has organized “International Development Youth Exchange” where the club members of Rotaract club (Computers) will be hosting the incoming IDYE from Coimbatore. The journey began by pick up the incoming IDYE from station and very first destination visited was ‘Riddhi Siddhi Ganpati’. The glimpse of lord Ganesh was viewed by the IDYE.Later on, club members along with IDYE departed towards ‘Shreyas’ hotel for lunch. Shreyas is famous for good Maharashtrian thali, so the basic aim to choose this destination was to depict our culture through food. After lunch, ‘Shaniwar wada’ was the prime spot which was visited. And lastly, five ‘Manache Ganpati’ in Pune were visited namely Kasba Ganpati, Tambdi Jogeshwari, Guruji Talim, Tulsi Baug and Kesari Wada Ganpati. IDYE were also presented with return gifts like ‘Bhakarwadi’ and ‘Puneri Topi’. The day ended and our hearts were filled with memories.

Brief Description:

Institutional Social Responsibility Cell in association with Rotaract Club of MCOE (Computers) Metro, has organized “Wall Painting” activity for all Computer Department Students and Staff members. Students were encouraged to paint the wall using tricolor which symbolizes love and respect for nation. Students and Staff members of other departments also actively participated in the event.

Brief Description:

Institutional Social Responsibility Cell in association with Rotaract Club of MCOE (Computers) Metro, has organized “Digital Banner Competition” for SE and TE of Computer Department Students. Students were encouraged to create digital banners on the occasion of 75th Independence Day. Theme for creating banners was “Har Ghar Tiranga” The competition also consisted of Prizes worth rupees 500/- for first position, 300/- for second and 200/- for third position.

Brief Description:

Rotaract Club of MCOE (Computers) Metro, has organized a Guest Session on “Right Nutrition For Healthy Generations” for SE and TE of Computer Department Students. This guest session covered all the important points regarding the right definition of nutrition, importance of nutrition, following a good food diet for a healthy lifestyle.Secondly, the later part of the session was on excess consumption of junk food and readymade/instant food in young generation

During this event, the speakers gave speeches on various topics like how they should be a better problem solver, how to be an effective in team building and high impact leadership and what should be your ambition and how to achieve it. On the last day, an speech competition was also held on topic “Ambition” and winners were also declared on the same day. Overall this guest session was very excellent. This Guest Session was very useful and helpful for all listeners to understand the importance of these values in their life.

Rotaract Club of MCOE (Computers) Metro, has organized a Guest Session on ‘Demystifying the Placement Process’ for all Students.This session covers the concepts of how to be prepared for any interview process. What are the various platforms where the students can improve their coding skills? How the CV should be written and what are key points that the students should remember always while submitting the CV to the desired IT Company. Overall, this guest session was very excellent. This Guest Session was very useful and helpful for all listeners to understand the importance of placement process.

Title: Omicron and Mental Health in young generation
Day & Date: Friday, 10-12-2021
Brief Description:

Rotaract Club of MCOE (Computers) Metro, has organized a Guest Session on Omicron and Mental Health in young generation for all Students.

  • This guest session covered all the important points regarding the precautions on the new COVID – 19 variant ‘Omicron’.
  • Secondly, the later part of the session was on mental health in young generation.
  • Basically in this, students got to know why it is important for the youth to maintain the mental health and what are the causes if the mental health is not kept up to the mark.

Overall this guest session was very excellent. This Guest Session was very useful and helpful for all listeners to understand the importance of Omicron and mental health.

Rotary Club of Pune Metro and NSS in collaboration with Rotaract Club of MCOE (Computers) Metro, Rotaract Club of ENTC Metro, Rotaract Club of PES MCOE IT and Rotaract Club of Electrical MCOE has organized a Guest Session on “Blood Donation Camp”

Students including the faculty members showed immense interest and participated in this event. All necessary preparations, precautions and arrangements were made as per COVID_19 norms and distance maintained. Emergency tools and equipments were also made available if in case any.

Title: Covid Warriors – The hero lies in you!

Brief Description:

Department of Computer Engineering of Modern College of Engineering Pune-05, has organized a Guest Session on Covid Warriors – The hero lies in you! for all Students, faculties, staffs and other people also this session is covers the concepts of Prevention of Covid, How to precaution take before covid or after covid, vaccination guidelines, solving doubts and misunderstanding about covid vaccination. COVID-19 is spreading in your community, stay safe by taking some simple precautions, such as physical distancing, wearing a mask, keeping rooms well ventilated, avoiding crowds, cleaning your hands, and coughing into a bent elbow or tissue.
