About Electrical Engineering

The Department was started in 2002 with the intake of 60 students for under graduate course in Electrical Engineering. It is committed to nourish its students in to highly skilled and proficient engineers. The department also offers two years masters program in Control System to prepare the students for research and professional practices. Like its undergraduate program, this master's program (started in 2008-2009) is fully approved by AICTE and affiliated to University of Pune. Presently Department runs two shifts of UG Electrical Engineering with total intake capacity of 120 students since Academic year 2011-12.

The department has ten fully equipped Laboratories supervised by experienced teachers. Through the experiments performed in the laboratories, the students get practical knowledge supplementing the learning gathered in class-rooms. In addition to the well-equipped laboratories to satisfy the practical requirement of the curriculum research Laboratory fulfills the requirements for Research Centre activities commenced from 2010.The total cost of major equipments in different Laboratories accounts for more than 1,35,00,000. The knowledge acquired in the laboratories eventually equips the students to provide quality service once employed in the industry. Many of faculty members have worthy industrial, Academic and Research experience and are members of many professional institutes.

The department organizes on regular basic different seminars, industrial tours, lectures of eminent personalities from the field of Electrical Engineering. The department has been very much successful in keeping new and emerging technologies which have been made available to the students through interactions with industrial and Research organizations. In addition to it department organizes seminars workshops regularly with hands on experience with the advanced software's which helps the students to complete their project work and get the expertise.

Our results are excellent and many students bagged rank in university. Several of the graduates who have passed out from this department are occupying responsible positions in various Engineering industries, Government and semi-government organizations. Some of our Alumina are proven Entrepreneurs. Many of the students have been placed at different companies like Legrand pvt. ltd., TCS, Inavit Systems India Pvt. Ltd, Tmeic (toshiba), Infosys, Konecranes, Q Spiders, Sterling & Wilson etc. or are pursuing higher studies in premier educational institutes in and outside India.
