Objective: To learn OpenGL and develop animations using OpenGL.
- FOSS Club of Modern College of Engineering Pune-05, has organized workshop on Computer graphics using Open GL.
- Mr. Gaurav has explained in history, present & future of computer graphics. They briefed about OpenGL as a standard, framework, windowing, pixels, rasterization process, framebuffers and GPU.
- They gave hands-on for programs like colored window, OpenGL primitives, 2D & 3D drawing.
Outcome: Students will able to explain OpenGL framework and develop small 2D & 3D animation using OpenGL.

Objective: To make students develop small robotics application.
Outcome: Students can develop application like line tracing robot.

- The workshop was conducted in association with the Techfest, IIT BOMBAY.
- An approximate of 85 students attended the workshop.
- The actual kits for making a robot were provided to the students.
- Everyone was very happy with the workshop. It was a successful workshop.
BACK TO BASICS: GNU/LINUX.

Objective: To make students aware of free and open-source software concepts.
Outcome: Students are introduced to command line Linux concepts using the GNU/Linux operating system.
Summary report:
Many people still believe that learning Linux is difficult, or that only experts can understand how a Linux system works. Though there is a lot of free documentation available, the documentation is widely scattered on the Web, and often confusing, since it is usually oriented toward experienced Linux users.

INAUGURATION OF FOSS CLUB.

Objective: To make students aware of free and open-source software concepts.
Outcome:Students can develop open-source/free software and deploy software using public licenses.
Summary report:
A formal inauguration program of FOSS (Free Open Source Software) Club was held on 12th of August 2016. Mr Yogeshwar Shulka was the guest speaker for the event. Students and staff from Computer, E&TC and IT engineering attended the session. Prof. Dr. Mrs. S. A. Itkar, HOD Computer provided the insight of the formation of the club.
Mr.Yash Khanzode, Student TE Computer, interacted with the students and presented the basic idea and importance of FOSS Club.
Mr. Yogeshwar Shukla guided students for creating their own free open source software, explained some key points like Administration, Tool-Chains, Development, Bug Fixing (using bugzilla), Building and Testing products and Domains in the field of open source.
Mr. Raju encouraged students for active participation in FOSS Club. Overall the inauguration was successful and beneficial for the students.

- To give awareness to students the importance of LATEX to write research papers and project report.
Outcome:The students were able to use LATEX typesetting technique and found it easy to use.
Summary report:
- In engineering and education for writing project reports, seminars, conference / reserach papers now a day's LATEX is becoming more popular due to its excellent typesetting and ease of use. So we had arranged a session under CSI to make students aware of it.
- Students of S.E, T.E and B.E participated in this session actively.
- During the session students actively participated and noted down all the important points with hands-on.
- Session concluded with some more guidance about how to prepare project report and presentation.
