Brief description of activity: An industrial visit to I-Medita, Baner, Pune, was organized by our department on Tuesday - Thursday, 12th & 14th February 2019. Near about sixty students of II year visited I-Medita to interact with the trainers regarding the basic networking components and their working with hands on activities on Real Cisco Devices. I-Medita is considered as India’s Most Trusted Cisco Training Company (Training and development ISO 9001:2008 certified company in networking) and offer Training program on: CCNA R&S, CCNA Security, CCNA Collaboration, CCNA Service Provider, CCNP R &S, CCNP Security, CCNP Collaboration, CCNP Service Provider, CCIE R&S, CCIE Security V5, CCIE Collaboration, and CCIE Service Provider. I-Medita is a Global firm offering various Educational training services across the globe. We provide Technical Hand on Training to Colleges, Universities and we also run Training Program at our Pune Main Office. The session commenced with an introductory seminar focused on the training institute and the courses they provide. They introduced students to their institute and briefed us about the various exams that are organized by Cisco. The seminar included information about how the various types of cables, used in networking, are spread over the globe. Like the fiber optic cables that are laid down under the sea. These cables are the backbone of the internet. This session was very informative. Later, students proceeded to the laboratory session. They made them familiar to the various networking components that are used commercially. They taught them how the switches and routers are connected and configured with other devices. The lab session also included information about the Voice over IP technology, Firewalls, Layer 3 switches and their applications and how devices communicate with each other, importance of Virtual LAN etc. The visit concluded with our minds enriched with the knowledge of networking and a new career opportunity to be exploited in near future.

Brief description of activity: College has organized centralized alumni meet on Saturday , 5th January 2019. Near about 10 alumni of our department were present for this meet. Being one of the stakeholders , alumni plays very important role in the development of institute as well as academics. Main program gets started with “ Ishstavan”. One video of current developments at institute level was prepared. It was shown in main program. Brief introduction to Unnat Bharat Abhiyan was given along with video. After the speech of Principal, few identified alumni has shared their views and feelings towards college. One identified alumnus and one more from last 2-3 years having largest package were felicitated at the hands of Principal madam. Alumnus from each department were inaugurated new purchased Alumni Portal named “Alma Shine”. Main program ends with spectacular cultural events.

Farewell Function of TYMCA students

Objectives : To give farewell to TYMCA students
Summary Report: On 07/4/2018, Saturday Farewell function was organized for TYMCA students by the MCA department at 9.30 AM in MCA Seminar Hall RNo 330. Mr. Brahmanand Phatak from Aloha Technologies and Mr. Gaurav Ambedkar were invited as the chief guest for the function. Dr. Vaishali Sangvikar, HOD, MCA Dept was the chairperson for the Program. Prof. Yogeshchandra Puranik was the program coordinator. Our chief guest Mr. Mr. Brahmanand Phatak and Mr. Gaurav Ambedkar gave the valuable guidance about how to crack the interviews for jobs and how to survive in the IT field today. The students were given gifts as a token of love from the department. Some games were organized for these students and snacks were arranged for them.

Summary Report: The session commenced with an introductory seminar focused on the courses they provide. Like various exams that are organized by Cisco. The seminar included information about how the various types of cables, used in networking, are spread over the globe. Like the fiber optic cables that are laid down under the sea. These cables are the backbone of the internet. This session was very informative. Later, students proceeded to the laboratory session. They made them familiar to the various networking components that are used commercially. They taught students how the switches and routers are connected and configured with other devices. The lab session also included information about the Voice over IP technology, Firewalls, Layer 3 switches and their applications and how devices communicate with each other, importance of Virtual LAN etc.

Summary Report: College has organized centralized alumni meet on Saturday, 13thJanuary 2018. Near about 30 alumni of our department were present for this meet. Being one of the stakeholders, alumni plays very important role in the development of institute as well as academics. Main program gets started with Ganesh Vandana. One video of current developments at institute level was prepared. It was shown in auditorium. After the speech of Principal, one identified alumni of each department has shared views which followed by felicitation of identified alumni at the hands of dignitaries (All HOD’S). Entertainment program was also arranged by our department. After the end of main function all alumni went to their respective departments. We have made arrangement at room no. 330. PowerPoint presentation of current development at department level was shown to them. After brief introduction being a NAAC coordinator Prof. Muley shared her views. Alumni coordinator Prof. Bhide talked about how their contribution in day to day activities is important. No of alumni gave assurance in this regard. All alumni had shared their view regarding industry requirement viz. working culture in industry, knowledge requirement, team management, soft skill etc also importance of lab and theory assignments. This session was too good. With lunch the meet gets over.

Mr. ALokSabde from TCS was invited as the chief guest for the function. Dr. VaishaliSangvikar, HOD, MCA Dept was the chairperson for the Program.Prof. YogeshchandraPuranik was the program coordinator. Our chief guest Mr. AlokSabde gave the valuable guidance about how to crack the interviews for jobs and how to survive in the IT field today. We have also taken Traffic Oath for student as well as staff. We have organized a Quiz based on the rules of Traffic for the TY students. We have chosen 5 students as winners for this quiz and distributed helmets to them as prize which was funded by the college. The students were given gifts as a token of love from the department. Some games were organized for these students and snacks were arranged for them.

Summary Report :
M-Pulse a technical event of P.E.S. Modern College of Engineering. For the academic year 2016-17 “M-Technophilia 2k17” was held under M-Pulse 2k17. It was celebrated in MCA Department with the same enthusiasm and determination among the new set of student coordinators, student volunteers and faculty coordinator on February 11th, 2017.
Students from other colleges and from our college(PES MCOE) had participated in this technical event. The event was successful enough to attract 8 participants from other college and 60 participants from our colleges. The fest executed with the total of 3 events held under M-Technophilia 2k17.

MCA Department has organized a session on women health on13th August 2016. The session is organized for girl students and the session is conducted for women diet and hygiene. Visit to a Shreevatsa Sanstha (Orphanage Institute- Sasson Hospital) [ Social Event]

Spandan: The Annual Gathering 2016 [ Extra-Curricular Event]
