Aero club has been formed in the year 2016-17 to give exposure to the enthusiasm of the students regarding flying. Team “Arial Martial” has been formed by such students who participate in the various events arranged by SAE-Southern Section.

About Team Aerial Martial

SAE-ADC is an "All India level competition", in which students must design a Remote-controlled type plane on their own, manufacture the same in the college workshop and finally fly it in a competition, at Chennai. The objective is to develop analytical, practical, leadership, teamwork, communication, and self-study skills in students.

Team Aerial Martial started as an initiative of some highly passionate students of PES’s Modern College of Engineering, Pune, in search of enriching knowledge in the field of performance aerospace industry. As Steve Jobs once quoted “Innovation distinguishes between a Leader and a follower,” we always strive for new and new ideas to be incorporated in our design. Students of PES Modern College of Engineering, have been participating in this event as "Team Aerial Martial" since 2016. So far team achieved mixed success in these years.

Objectives :

To inculcate engineering knowledge for designing and developing a UAV for various applications.
To develop Problem Solving ability, Team Management, Interpersonal skills, and a goal-driven mindset.

Outcomes :

The members of Team Aerial Martial will

Develop a sound knowledge of aerodynamics, material properties, engineering design, and additive manufacturing.
Get an exposure to the industry leaders in drones, civil aviation, and defence sector.
Get a hands-on working experience in RC Aircraft Design, Prototyping, and Manufacturing Processes.
Get to enhance their Management and Social skills.
